CLIP Intermodal Container Terminal is your partner in intermodal transport
CLIP Intermodal Container Terminal is a modern container and intermodal semi-trailer handling terminal which combines two means of transport — road and railway. It is located in Swarze?dz-Jasin near Poznań.
In addition, or perhaps in the first place, CLIP is a warehousing and production centre whose buildings area exceeds 300 000 m2 (Zone plan) and additional 100 000 m2 are planned. The main advantage of the terminal is its excellent location at the intersection of two most important TEN-T corridors, namely North Sea—Baltic and Baltic—Adriatic, at the national S5 route and near A2 motorway Berlin—Warsaw. The positive effect of the project on the development of competitiveness is additionally emphasized by its location in the Kostrzyn—Słubice Special Economic Zone (Swarze?dz subzone) suitable for the purposes of heavy goods transport — at international roads E30, E65 and E28, in the direct neighbourhood of motorway A2, expressway S5, with a railway viaduct connecting CLIP with national road no. 92. The market-independent handling terminal operating within the premises of CLIP Group, is directly connected with the station in Swarze?dz on the railway line E20. It is equipped with 15 km of own railway tracks, hardened handling yards, container depots, access road and parking places for trucks.
CLIP Intermodal Container Terminal is developing based on the location potential and satisfaction of the increasing individual requirements of our partners. A new CLIP Intermodal Container Terminal was opened in 2015. It covers an area of 8 ha and is capable of accommodating 4500 TEU. The cost of the project totalled EUR 20 million. European Union co-financed more than 40% of the new terminal cost under Measure 7.4. The new investment will facilitate an increase in the transshipment and warehousing capacity, the utilisation of the potential of the terminal services for containers transported in the East—West direction at the level of max. planned handling capacity: 250 000 TEU/year and handling up to 20 sets per 24 hours.
We hold ISO certificates, AEO status F and are certified by a Dutch Rotterdam port organisation – Inland Links. CLIP Terminal operates a railway shuttle connection 9 times a week on the route Rotterdam—Swarze?dz—Rotterdam and Swarzędz—Neuss—Swarzędz. This is a connection for which our railway partner, ERS Railways, in 2013 was awarded the title of European Cargo Operator of the Year by the European Rail Congress and Award in recognition of the innovative connection Rotterdam — CLIP.
In 2014, CLIP and ERS received an award for the “Shuttle service between CLIP Terminal and the port in Rotterdam” in the competition “Innovative Product: Logistics, Transport, Production 2014”.
