CZ LOKO is a dynamically developing company taking pride in a 160-year-long tradition. Its core part – the factory at Česká Třebová – is just as old. It is one the oldest locomotive and wagon maintenance works of the Northern State Railway Line connecting the city of Olomouc with Prague since 1845. The first workshop in Prague in Česká Třebová was put into operation in the same year. The contemporary history of the company CZ LOKO starts in 1995 when the Czech-Moravian Commercial Company (Českomoravská komerčni společnost, a.s.; ČMKS) was founded. Significant changes occurred at the end of 2004 when the strategic partner – Phoenix-Zeppelin appeared. The company was renamed and at the end of 2006 its headquarters were moved from the town of Nymburk to Česká Třebová. The new company name was registered by the end of 2006.
